Nan's Meatloaf

Virginia Farhat's classic meatloaf — ground sirloin with Lipton onion soup and a ketchup glaze

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs ground sirloin
  • 1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix
  • ¾ cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Ketchup (for glaze on top)

Directions

  1. Combine ground sirloin, onion soup mix, Italian bread crumbs, egg, ¼ cup ketchup, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  3. Bake approximately 1 hour at 350°F.
  4. During baking, put ketchup on top and continue baking until done.
