Ingredients
- 1 cup tahini
- ¾ cup lemon juice (from fresh lemons)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup water
- 1 can (19 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
Directions
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
- Place all ingredients in a food processor.
- Process until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust salt and lemon as needed.
- Chill before serving. Serve with pita bread, drizzled with olive oil if desired.
