Foil and Parchment

When cooking things on aluminium foil, first scrunch the foil up, then lay it loosely flat again on your baking tray. The juices will stay put β€” and the food will not stick to the foil half as much, if at all.

Also spray with cooking spray or spread oil on top of the foil.

Or just use parchment paper.

Nonstick foil is available but very expensive β€” about $14 a roll for 150 sq ft.

DIY Self-Rising Flour

If all you have is all-purpose flour, you don't need to run to the store. To make your own self-rising flour, just add 1Β½ teaspoons baking powder and ΒΌ teaspoon salt to each cup of all-purpose flour.
