Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 onion, chopped
- Celery, chopped

- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Dash of oregano
- Romano cheese, grated
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 large can whole tomatoes
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato paste
- 3 cans water
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until softened.
- Add ground beef (or turkey) and cook through, breaking up the meat.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a dash of oregano.
- Add whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water. Stir to combine.
- Stir in grated Romano and Parmesan cheese.
- Simmer on medium-low heat for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving over pasta.
Leo's Note: The Romano and Parmesan go in during simmering โ they thicken and deepen the sauce.
