Ingredients
- 1 cup tahini
- ¾ cup lemon juice
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup water
- 1 can (19 oz) chick peas, drained
Directions
- Combine tahini, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder, and water in a food processor.
- Add the drained chick peas.
- Process until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust salt or lemon as needed.
- Chill before serving. Drizzle with olive oil and serve with pita bread.
Tip: Add extra water or lemon to loosen if the mixture is too thick. The texture should be smooth and spreadable.
