Hummus & Tahini

Tahini, lemon juice, garlic & chick peas — blended smooth and chilled

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tahini
  • ¾ cup lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 can (19 oz) chick peas, drained

Directions

  1. Combine tahini, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder, and water in a food processor.
  2. Add the drained chick peas.
  3. Process until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or lemon as needed.
  5. Chill before serving. Drizzle with olive oil and serve with pita bread.
Tip: Add extra water or lemon to loosen if the mixture is too thick. The texture should be smooth and spreadable.
