Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 T ketchup (optional)
- Egg noodles or rice, for serving
Directions
- Cut sirloin into strips and brown in a small amount of fat in a skillet. Remove and set aside.
- Add sliced onions to the pan and cook until softened.
- Add minced garlic and minced onion. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Add to the pan.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and ketchup if using.
- Return beef strips to the pan. Heat through — do not boil.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice.
Karen Hitt's Note: Don't let the sour cream mixture boil — it will separate. Keep it at a gentle heat and stir frequently.
