Brown sugar, butter, banana & 151 rum — flambéed with crème de banana, served over vanilla ice cream

Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 sliced banana
  • ½ oz 151 Rum
  • 1 oz Crème de Banana
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Sliced almonds
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir to combine.
  2. Add the sliced banana, ½ oz 151 rum, 1 oz crème de banana, and a dash of cinnamon.
  3. Flambé carefully — tilt pan or use a long lighter to ignite the rum. Let the flames burn out.
  4. Add sliced almonds.
  5. Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
Safety: Use a long lighter or match when flambéing. Have a lid nearby to smother the flame if needed. Keep the pan handle away from the flame.
